After putting several builds, back in the box, due to burn out, from too much scratch building/ major detail/ complexity, I decided to Just Build One! I look through my kits and decided to build the Revell '67 Dodge Charger, silver with a red interior. I was going to build it, straight from the box, with just plug wires, I did added a bit more detail, though. I did stop myself from doing some more extensive details because I was still trying to fall back into detail Hell. I decided to build it as a "day 2" car, modifications an owner would have done to the car after buying it. I am also experimenting with weathering, on this build, to make it look "driven".
Red interior parts.
Assembled chassis with light weathering.
426 Hemi with plug wires and fuel lines.
Huge air cleaner does cover most of the fuel lines but it was the only thing that fit without cutting the hood.
Optional Cragar SS wheels from the kit. Front tires are from the kit, rear tires are from my parts box.
Close up of the wheel/ tire. A drop of transparent blue, in the wheel center and valve stem.
Misc. parts.
Master cylinder with brake lines.
Painted body parts. Unfortunately it has some crap in it.
While waiting for the paint to cure, I assembled the chassis
Bottom of the chassis shows weathering and exhaust system
Flocked and foiled interior
